Dec. 7, 2006 Chidamide (Lab Code CS055), a novel HDAC inhibiter for cancer treatment, IND has been approved by SFDA for phase I trial.
- Oct. 2006 Shenzhen Chipscreen Biosciences signs out-license agreement for Chidamide, an investigational cancer compound currently in IND process with San Diego-based HUYA Bioscience for worldwide rights outside China in October 2006. Chipscreen Biosciences will initiate Phase I clinical trials in China upon receiving IND approval from SFDA. HUYA plans to file Investigational New Drug application and commence clinical trials of Chidamide in the United States and Europe.

Oct. 20-21, 2006 Dr. Lu was invited to speak at the 3rd Drug Evaluation Conference subjected on the strategy of innovative drug in R&D and evaluation in Beijing. This conference is sponsored by Center for Drug Evaluation of SFDA, which is the highest state organization in charge of drug evaluation. There are about 500 representatives from pharmaceutical manufacturing enterprises and research organizations at home and abroad take part in this meeting.

Sept. 17-18, 2006 Dr. Lu is invited to speak at the Fifth Dean and Director Symposium of Chinese Pharmaceutical R & D Institutes in Jinan, Shandong Province on the keynote regarding Drug Discovery and Technique Innovation. Mr. Mingxue Wang, the director of China Association for Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Technology Exchange (CPDE) and Mr. Minghai Lu, the secretary-general of CPDE commence the conference. Lead of CPDE, lead of Shandong FDA, lead of Shandong Commerce Group and lead of Shandong Institute of Pharmaceutical Industry attend this meeting and give attendees a speech. In the meeting, Mr. Zhi Yang, section chief of Life Sciences Centre of Ministry of S&T of P.R.C. introduced “Eleven-Five-Year” BioMedicine Technology Development plans. Sept 2, 2006 Dr. Xian-Ping Lu, the President and CSO of Shenzhen Chipscreen Bioscience, was invited to attend “Nobel Linus Pauling – Hkbio Mini Symposium” in HKSP. This meeting’s goal is to build a bridge between academia and industry and between USA and HK China.

July, 2006, Roche R&D Center China (RRDCC), the fifth fully integrated global R&D Center for Roche signs a two-year research service agreement with Shenzhen Chipscreen Biosciences Ltd, a leading China-based life sciences company specialized in small molecule drug discovery and development. Chipscreen will use its in-house high-through screening and proprietary chemical genomics-based discovery platform to screen and evaluate in early stage of drug discovery on series of compounds provided by RRDCC.

Jun. 15, 2006 Mr. Dinghuan Shi, counselor of State Department and formal secretary-general of Ministry of Sciences and Technology of People’s Republic of China, and Mr. Chunmin Hao, Director of Shenzhen S&T expert committee visited Shenzhen Chipscreen Biosciences Ltd. CEO of Chipscreen, Dr. Xian-Ping Lu, accompanied them a facility tour and presented company’s stage progress in innovative drug discovery and development efforts. Mr. Shi and Mr. Hao were excited for the progress and expressed their strong support for Chipscreen’s continuing effort to bring innovative medicines into markets.

Jun. 10, 2005 The Chinese SFDA granted Clinical Trial Permit (CTP) to Chipscreen for anti type II diabetes drug Chiglitazar. This is the first CTP and major milestone in Chipscreen’s history.

Jun. 6-8, 2005 Dr. Xian-Ping Lu, CEO & CSO of Shenzhen Chipscreen was invited to attend “IBC’S Sixth international Conference on Evaluating Percilnical Drug Safety” in Boston and gave a speech. This conference’s target is early efficacy assessment using predictive methods to reduce efficacy-related attrition, improve preclinical decision-making and expedite clinical trials. - Apr. 29, 2005 An enlarged meeting by SFDA celebrate in Beijing for Chipscreen’s novel drug, an anti type II diabetes chemical medicine—Chiglitazar. The meeting involved the minister of Department V of Center for Drug Evaluation, item principal, expert of Center for Drug Evaluation and 9 experts in the area of basic, preparation, synthesize, pre-clinic and clinic. Chipscreen’s five R&D leader and two experts of the Academy of Military Medical Sciences also take part in the meeting. In the whole day’s meeting, all the experts heard the Chiglitazar’s R&D holistic train of thoughts, and discussed the concerned problems.
